Goodbye Michael, Now Disappear

I was not going to talk about this because I don't quite know how to say it, and I'm sick of hearing his name. But, it's my blog, so I guess I'll just say it.

I don't wish anyone dead, and I am totally sensitive to the amount of suffering he may have had to endure while he was alive, (and probably did endure), but he's not a hero.

Talented, gifted even, and one of the best singer/dancers I've ever seen, but he also hurt children.

That's enough for me. Call me what you will, but insensitive is not going to fit me; not here, not this time. I'm extremely sensitive to the children who have to live their lives with a ridiculous amount of pain because of this man.

He had a sad life, but that's no excuse. Someone has to listen to those children and I'm willing to do it.

I'm on your bandwagon.

What you said was important to say, and you said it well.

Brava.

I'm with you too.
I think there is WAAAY too much hype about this. Aren't there some more really important things going on in the world for newscasters to broadcast???

I completely agree.

This man was sick in the head.

And this may sound terrible, but he is one less pervert to roam this earth.

His death was no surprise.

Heath Ledger's was.

So amen, sista.

Farah Fawcett and Ed mcmhan died too.. did they get the respect and coverage that he does?

THAT'S what pisses me off about the media. Now we won't hear anything bu MJ for the next 2 months... unless we bomb N Korea

No, he was not a hero. He did many things badly. I don't think people are forgetting about the kids at all. Or forgiving on that score. I certainly don't defend his alleged actions, but he can't hurt anybody now. That his superstardom all went to shit when he was once an unstoppable, history-making talent is one reason it's so sad. No argument that he did it to himself. But he had the inspiration of his father. 'nuf said.

I think there are a lot of us out here that feel the same way as you!

Well done! His musical genius is almost unequaled but he had a major problem. From everything I've read about this, it's not curable in any way.

I find it amusing that people are shocked that he died! He was not the picture of health, mentally or physically. He probably faked the whole thing! We had to put up with the Elvis sightings for over 30 years, now this shit!

you know, I was just thinking that myself. If i turnthe tv on, and see him ONE MORE TIME...

man.

can't they just let him rest in peace?

He was a musical talent, but a very troubled man. You are very right, dear Bloggus, and I hope his own children are now well cared for, or else imagine how their lives could turn out from such a peculiar and controlling backstory...

Bless you, Bloggus - Love you like a sister xxxoooxxx

Thank you!!! I am so sick of hearing how sad everyone is and blah blah blah. Yes, that's people's right, but he did hurt children and I for one do not believe in forgiveness no matter what their past circumstances for hurting innocent children!!!

Thank you. You're the first person to say out loud what I've been thinking. Well, I said it the comments of Suzy's blog, but you said it better here.

I'm not one for debate.... or better yet, conflict...... ( I'm the kid on the playground who gave away her lunch to make friends)

I just stopped by to tell you I found you over at Cate's Six word Saturday.....

and I saw your: "Aunt Flo Came For Valentine's Day"..... I aspirated pepsi up my nose.....

and knew I had to see more....

and so I am......

and must say.....

You didn't disappoint!!!

Okay, since you said it - I'll say it: Thriller scared me as a kid. I hated that video, hated the dance, and STILL HATE zombies.

He was dead me after that video.

I'm lucky I'm not in the states and don't have access to TV! But I tend to agree, the man had his own personal problems, but he was certainly no hero. He was a freak. Plain and simple.

Oh, I know what you mean. When Michael Jackson was still headline news on Sunday, my first comment was - "He is still dead, isn't he?".

That is UK news as well, I dread to think how much you must be getting in the US of A.

There is now talk of a funeral on a par with the Princess Di's.

Look on the bright side, we might get a day off work for it (or is that going too far :P)
